Piano Teacher
Priscilla Kovalenko
Priscilla Kovalenko has been studying piano for 14 years, having begun taking piano lessons at the age of four. She completed her musical education under the guidance of Reveka Primachenko, graduating from her music school in 2023. With a strong foundation developed through years of study and performance, she now shares her musical experience with beginning students at the academy.
Throughout her musical journey, Priscilla has performed in recitals, concerts, and other live settings, with experience performing both as a solo pianist and alongside other musicians. She has performed piano duets and most recently participated in an eight-hand piano performance with three other pianists. These experiences have helped her develop confidence, musical expression, and an appreciation for collaboration and performance.
As a teacher, Priscilla hopes to help her students develop a strong foundation in piano while finding genuine enjoyment in their musical studies. She believes that learning an instrument should be both educational and rewarding and strives to create an encouraging environment where beginning students can build confidence as they develop their skills. Her experience working with children through volunteer opportunities has also helped her develop patience, responsibility, and an ability to connect with younger students in a supportive and encouraging way.
Outside of music, Priscilla is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Portland State University and hopes to continue her education with a master’s degree in the future. She looks forward to helping her students discover their own love for music and begin their own musical journeys.
